Proprietor of the Tipsy Teapot Jenny Graves has created a unique experience for you to enjoy whether you drop in for Morning Tea, a leisurely lunch, tasty Afternoon Tea or to enjoy the wonderful cuisine of the evening Bistro.
Tads Cottage, the home of the Tipsy Teapot is one of the few remaining character Houses in Selsey High Street with its intimate and pretty courtyard garden adding to its unique street appeal. It is a Grade 11 Listed Property; the main building is believed to be approximately 300 years old, with the lovely bay window extension in the front garden being 200 years old
Although many of its original features have changed inside it is still a beautiful warm cosy place to experience. When Tadds was transformed into a Tearoom and Bistro it was important to keep the ambience and add to its friendly welcoming atmosphere.
A very talented artist helped achieve this with his wonderful detailed murals that blend into the nooks and crannies creating an interesting quirky backdrop for our diners. Most of our visitors have enjoyed this artwork, so for those that have and are interested in seeing more of Rob’s work he can be found on www.paintedworlds .co.uk
Of course we can’t forget our tiny hidden courtyard garden offering a giant sized terracotta style pot, water feature and jungle appeal, ideal for intimate meals or small gatherings of family and friends. For information on our lovely pot, and other Dingley Dell products Jay’s work can be viewed on
